About Jeffrey Guance

Founder and Primary Clinician

Jeffrey Guance is a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) whose journey into therapy was inspired by his own path to self-discovery and freedom. Graduating summa cum laude from Fordham University with both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work, Jeffrey has dedicated his career to helping others overcome their own challenges and find their authentic selves.

Jeffrey’s passion lies in working with individuals facing addiction and substance use disorders, as well as supporting couples in navigating communication challenges. He also has a deep commitment to grief and bereavement counseling, providing a compassionate space for individuals to process loss and find healing. He values working with clients who are committed to self-awareness and personal growth, and has a special passion for addressing men’s issues and fostering genuine connection.

In his therapeutic approach, Jeffrey believes in the power of creating a space where clients can explore their true selves with courage and compassion. By integrating modalities like Internal Family Systems (IFS), he helps clients understand and accept all parts of themselves, guiding them toward meaningful change.

Outside of his professional life, Jeffrey is committed to living authentically and nurturing his relationships with friends, his community, and most importantly, his children. Looking to the future, he aspires to expand his clinical supervision, support developing clinicians, and pursue a PhD in Social Work, with a dissertation focused on addiction and recovery at Fordham University.
